SIUT started as an 8-bedded ward in 1972 and has now progressed to become a Centre of Excellence offering 200-bedded in-patient facilities. It includes pre-operative care, post operative care, transplant ICU, surgical and medical intensive care unit, high dependency unit, nephrology, gastroenterology, oncology and paediatric unit.
